Years ago, Chris's mentor gave him a piece of advice that would shape the way he thought about money forever:
"In life, there are 5 aspects: Spiritual, Mental, Physical, Social and Financial. If the Financial pillar of life is strong, it has an ability to affect the other four pillars in an incredibly meaningful way."
To this day, Chris remains passionate about planning because he understands the tremendous difference it can make in his clients' lives. In his position here as managing partner, Chris works diligently to oversee the wealth management process as well as the 401(k) plan consulting side of the practice.
In 1999, Chris earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. In addition, he received the title of Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor in 2018.
Before entering the financial services industry in 1995, Chris graduated from Clemson University with a bachelors of science degree in Finance.
Chris has served for various organizations professionally and personally including:
- CFP® Board of Washington, D.C. on the Commission of Standards
- CFP® Board Chairman of the Disciplinary & Ethics Commission
- Greenville Estate Planning Council
- Past Chairman and current Treasurer of The Children's Museum of The Upstate
A Charlottesville, Virginia native, Chris is a lifetime Clemson Tigers fan. With his wife, Heath, being a Carolina Gamecock, the debate of where their daughter will go to college never ends. When he's not in the office, Chris enjoys playing a round of golf in the summer and snow skiing in the winter. During the school year, he remains actively involved in mentoring students of Clemson University's College of Business and Behavioral Science.
