EARNINGS so far, UNEMPLOYMENT, investor SENTIMENT & the UNPRECEDENTED year for a MODERATE PORTFOLIO
It’s Earnings Season, and (at least, so far) Chris Beard and Jesse Hansford discuss that things are looking pretty decent. Chris shares that good reports from companies shouldn’t come as a surprise since we haven’t seen widespread layoff announcements. The guys look also at some other times that investor sentiment has hit such a negative extreme – and what happened in markets afterwards. Finally, Jesse offers an acknowledgement of the unprecedented nature of the “All-Weather Portfolio” (or the 60% stocks/40% bonds Portfolio). Left alone in this type of allocation mix, it has been the worst year since 1931! Does your money have the benefit of Risk Management in a challenging year?
